Eligibility Criteria for REET
Along with the REET 2022 notification, the eligibility criteria for the REET 2022 exam were released. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, according to the REET eligibility criteria published in the official notification. The REET exam has no upper age limit.
For Primary Teachers
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education/appearing in the final year of a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/appearing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Graduation and passing or appearing in the final year of a two-year Elementary Education Diploma (by whatever name known).
For Upper Primary Teacher
- Graduation and passing or appearing in the final year of a two-year elementary education diploma programme.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or enrolling in a one-year Bachelor of Education programme (B.Ed).
- Graduation with at least 45 percent marks and passing or appearing in a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme as defined by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time.
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a four-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/appearing in the final year of a four-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in a one-year B.Ed (Special Education).
Application Process for REET

Exam Pattern for REET
Every year, REET follows a specific exam pattern. There are two levels to the REET 2022 Exam Pattern.
For Level 1:
The REET 2022 exam paper 1 will contain 150 questions. There will be no deductions for incorrect answers. Candidates will have two and a half hours to complete the exam paper. The REET exam will be given on paper, with separate papers for Primary and Upper Primary teachers. The Level 1 exam covers topics such as child development and pedagogy, language 1, language 2, math, and EVS. Level 1 examinations are held for teachers from 1st to 5th.
For Level 2:
There will be 150 questions on REET 2022 exam paper 2. There will be no deductions for incorrect answers. The exam will last two hours and thirty minutes for candidates. The REET exam will be administered on paper, with separate exams for primary and secondary school teachers. Level 2 includes subjects such as child development and pedagogy, language 1, language 2, math, and science/social science. Level 2 exams are held for teachers from class 6th to 8th.

- The first step in preparing for REET 2022 should be to understand the syllabus and exam pattern of the written exam.

Job Profiles and Salary Trends in REET
REET qualifiers can expect to earn INR 23,700/- as a 3rd Grade teacher. After the recruitment is confirmed, the teachers will be paid at the 10th level of the pay matrix.
There will be a two-year probationary period. During this time, the candidate is given the basic pay salary without any allowances. Following confirmation, teachers will be entitled to a variety of benefits, including Travel Allowances, Living Adjustment, Dearness Allowance (DA), Bonus, and Urban Damage Supply.
