The IRAS Recruitment Notification 2024 has yet to be released. It is expected to be announced in March 2024, however. The candidates’ general knowledge, level of self-assurance, and skills will be evaluated in this step of the process. The personal interview will only be given to those candidates who passed the written test and were selected for further consideration. Note: The CSAT Aptitude Test, or Paper-II of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, will be a qualifying paper for the Civil Services (Mains) Examination only, with a minimum score of 33 percent. Both Paper I (Current Affairs) and Paper II (Aptitude Test) will have multiple-choice questions for each of the 200 marks of objective type, and each paper will be given 2 hours. Candidates must appear in both prelim examination papers in order to be evaluated. As a result, a candidate will be disqualified if he or she does not appear in both papers.

The board will assess the candidates in a variety of areas, from their professional backgrounds to their general interests. The overall training for IRAS officers lasts about two years. The training started at the LBSNAA in Mussoorie and continued at the National Academy of Indian Railways in Vadodara. Additional training was given at NADT in Nagpur and NIFM in Faridabad. Candidates for the IRAS must also complete a 12-week training program at IIM Calcutta. Candidates for the IRAS also receive training at MDI in Gurgaon.
