Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Joins Forces with the Government of Tamil Nadu for the Naan Mudhalvan Scheme, Empowering 5,000 Youth in Sales and Marketing Skills

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited (HCCB) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu Government as part of the Naan Mudhalvan project. The aim is to provide training in Sales and Marketing to 5,000 individuals.

This partnership with HCCB will span a year and is a collaborative effort with the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC). The event was graced by the presence of distinguished individuals, including Shri Udhayanidhi Stalin, Hon’ble Minister for Youth Welfare, Sports Development & Special Programme Implementation, Shri Ma. Subramanian, Hon’ble Minister for Health, Medical Education & Family Welfare.

J Innocent Divya, IAS, the Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, and Shri Darez Ahamed, Secretary in the Special Program Implementation Department of Tamil Nadu, were also in attendance.

The program will accommodate a diverse range of participants, from recent graduates to current students and college dropouts aged 18 and above. Over the course of three months, participants will engage in a comprehensive 30-hour curriculum, which includes 6 hours of in-person instruction and 24 hours of interactive online sessions.

TNSDC will collaborate with HCCBPL, serving as the primary point of contact. They will oversee orientation and awareness sessions, manage electronic distribution of program materials, and facilitate both in-person and online training. Additionally, TNSDC will offer access to industry experts, online platforms, evaluations, and connect learners with local industries and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Mr. Himanshu Priyadarshi, Chief Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability Officer at HCCB, expressed, “Our enduring partnership with Tamil Nadu holds a special place for us. We have one of our oldest factories in the state and have been proud contributors to its growth over the years.”

TNSDC will introduce students to HCCB and its programs, guide them through orientation sessions, and ensure access to necessary facilities such as computer laboratories and classrooms. They will also monitor program attendance and assist with assessments.

Innocent Divya, IAS, Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, emphasized, “We aim to build a strong bridge between government agencies, the private sector, and educational institutions. This collaboration guarantees a steady supply of well-trained graduates suitable for a wide array of corporate careers.”
