The NID DAT 2023 preliminary exam has been finished; Analyze the paper and anticipate the cutoff.

The NID conducted the entrance exam for DAT 2023 Prelims today, the 8th of January, 2023, from 10 AM to 1 PM, in an offline pen and paper format in 23 cities across India. Reports from students and experts state that the difficulty level of the exam was fairly challenging. In the NID DAT 2023 exam, there were a total of 26 queries. Questions 1 to 22 were of the Multiple Choice type, and questions 23 to 26 were open-ended. Students had a period of three hours (180 minutes) to answer the entire paper.

Verma Gupta stated that the overall complexity of NID DAT for BDs was challenging. The English portion was simpler, while the Image and Diagram section had some complex questions. Kishore, an applicant for NID DAT 2023, noted that the questions were lengthy but of an average difficulty. He was able to answer all of them and found the LR section to be straightforward.

Examiners and takers alike agreed that the NID DAT prelims test for BDes and MDes was of a moderate difficulty. Generally, the visuals and diagrams were hard to comprehend, but the GK and reasoning questions were rather simple.

The National Institute of Design will announce the NID DAT 2023 results for M.Des on February 28th and for B.Des on March 30th, which can be accessed from the ‘Admission’ portal at admissions.nid.edu. If any discrepancies or mistakes are found in the preliminary results, the applicants can request for a re-check between February 28 and March 2 (M.Des) and March 30 and April 1 (B.Des). Successful candidates from the NID DAT 2023 prelims will be eligible to participate in the NID DAT 2023 mains which will take place from March 20 to April 23 (M.Des) and April 29 to 30 (B.Des).
