Najma Akhtar, vice chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), today opened a free COVID vaccination clinic called “Covid Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav” as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav at the university’s MA Ansari Health Center. From August 2 to August 5, the COVID vaccination camp will be held. As part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, registered individuals who are 18 years of age or older receive free booster shots and preventative doses.

Additionally, Akhtar opened the Routine Vaccination Center at JMI, which was established in conjunction with the Delhi government. “We are all sitting here in safety and security since we have already received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, which is an excellent way to combat the disease. I’ll make a call to all adults over the age of 18 to come in and get shots “She spoke. She also commended the administrators of the Ansari Health Centre for opening a centre for routine vaccinations as well as other facilities.

Each Thursday at the centre, young children will receive all required vaccinations, according to a statement from Jamia Millia Islamia University. By working with Max Health Care, Akhtar also opened a microbiology lab, a free cardiology OPD, and a free orthopaedics OPD at the health centre. From August 8 to 10, the health centre will begin a three-day Basic Life Support (BLS) training course for physiotherapy students.
