According to National Testing Agency (NTA) authorities, the first Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG, which ended last Wednesday, had a 60% attendance rate. Due to sluggish internet bandwidth impacting 103 candidates, the exam could not be held that day at a centre at Radha Govind University in Jharkhand, officials said on Tuesday. According to a senior NTA official, the exam will be administered at a later time for these candidates.

All phases of the CUET-UG were supposed to end on August 20 according to the original design. To accommodate students whose exam was rescheduled due to a number of errors that tarnished the test, the exam was further postponed and divided into six sections. The students frequently experience these problems, which range from technical difficulties to last-minute changes in exam locations and dates to admit cards that include outdated information.

The CUET, the common entrance for undergraduate admissions in all central universities, has surpassed JEE-average Main’s registration of nine lakh candidates to become the second-largest entrance exam in the nation with 14.9 lakh registrations. With an average of 18 lakh registrations, NEET UG is India’s largest admission examination.
