Students intending to serve as agniveers will be provided with coaching by the Haryana Govt.

According to a formal announcement released here on Friday, the Haryana government would set up coaching for young people who wish to participate in the Agnipath defence recruitment programme of the Central Government as “Agniveers.” When they are admitted to Class 11, the students will have the opportunity to choose it. The coaching will initially begin in 200 schools across the state in batches of 50-50 students. The decision was made during a meeting between Manohar Lal Khattar, the chief minister, and Air Marshal Manavendra Singh, the IAF’s air officer commanding in chief, training command, discussing the Agniveer recruitment process, according to the statement. Additionally, there will be many levels of training programmes that combine academic and physical activity.

It said that the Zilla Sainik Board and willing former military members who attended the Army Training Institute and Recruiting Offices during their time of service would be given preference for providing physical training. For the academic course, school teachers’ services will be enlisted. The training programme will be run initially on weekends and then for one month over the summer break.

The children of these families would receive free agneveer coaching, similar to the benefits of government programmes provided to families of the Haryana government with yearly incomes up to Rs. 1.80 lakh. “The School Education Department will create the course outline.
