Students have taken their concerns to the Supreme Court and the National Medical Commission (NMC) in regards to whether or not the NEET PG 2023 exam date should be reconsidered.

Only two weeks remain until the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Postgraduate (NEET PG 2023) and applicants are still requesting a delay. The National Board Examination (NBE) will be administering the NEET PG 2023 exam on March 5th.

Despite a number of requests via social media and letters to the Union Health Minister asking for the NEET PG 2023 exam to be delayed by 2-3 months, Mansukh Mandaviya recently declared in the Lok Sabha that the exam will take place as scheduled to avoid any further postponements. Despite this, students are still demanding a delay.

The Telangana High Court recently dismissed a petition asking for the delay of the NEET PG 2023 exam, instead requesting that the National Medical Commission (NMC) reevaluate their decision to hold the examination on March 5. The court granted the commission two weeks to respond.

A majority of students have requested for the delay of the NEET PG exam to the Supreme Court and are still waiting for the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to announce an alternative date. However, the apex court has not yet established a date for the hearing of the petition.

Rohan Krishnan, head of the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA), expressed his support for students seeking a delay of NEET and proclaimed that NEET PG will not be moved until an official statement is made by the authorities.

Rohan Krishnan tweeted that he was encouraging students to get ready for the March 5th test and that the High Court had recommended extending the dates, which the NMC had agreed to look into. However, this would not include the NEET MDS 2023. In addition, the Health Ministry had previously moved the MBBS internship deadline to August 11th.
