Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday to work with other states to develop a plan for the modernization of more than 10 lakh government schools across the nation over the course of the next five years. According to the PM-SHRI Yojana, 14,500 schools will be created and updated nationwide. They will be furnished with cutting-edge amenities including labs, smart classrooms, libraries, and athletic fields.

Although this is a really positive thing, modernising merely 14,500 schools is a drop in the ocean. According to Kejriwal, it will take 70 to 80 years to renovate all 10.5 lakh schools in the nation at the present rate. I urge the prime minister to modernise every one of the nation’s 10.5 lakh government schools, he continued. He asserted that India could not overtake other nations as the top power until it guarantees every child access to a high-quality, free education. “I have frequently stated that a lot has to be done if India is to become the world’s leading nation. India cannot advance economically until every child in the country receives free, high-quality education.

“After India got freedom, a terrible error was made. In every village and remote area of the nation, we ought to have made sure that there were schools of high calibre. India wouldn’t be such a poor nation if everyone had access to education.” The Aam Aadmi Party’s “Make India No. 1” campaign will be introduced on Wednesday in Kejriwal’s hometown of Hisar, Haryana, and will later travel to other states to engage citizens in the cause. Anyone who wants to join the effort, he stated, should contact 9510001000.

The AAP leader unveiled the campaign as part of a strategy to broaden the party’s support in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. “Despite having been independent for 75 years, we remain behind. 130 crore people dream of India becoming the best nation in the world “added Kejriwal. India’s politicians have prevented development, and until the people come together and cooperate as a team and family, nothing will change. In that case, he asserted, no force could prevent India from overtaking all others as the world’s most powerful nation.
