MCC has alerted potential applicants that a false announcement has been made, claiming that a special stray vacancy round will be held by the Medical Counselling Committee for NEET UG counselling 2022, with an extended deadline for state quota admission till January 20. They urge individuals to not spread any false information, and to be aware that severe repercussions will be brought against those who partake in this.

MCC and MoHFW have been made aware of a fabricated Notice, dated 10.01.2023, circulating on social media which appears to be from MCC and DGHS. It is essential to note that no such Notice has been issued by MCC or DGHS.

Individuals/ applicants are warned not to pay attention to false letters/ Notifications, and also not to spread or share illegitimate information to any other groups. Appropriate action will be taken against any individual taking part in such malicious practices. It is also recommended that complainants file a complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell or a First Information Report.

MCC is going to arrange an extra vacancy round for the unoccupied MBBS, BDS slots of All India Quota (AIQ), central university, central institute, and deemed university through an online method, according to the approval of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). The deadline for admission is January 20, as many candidates submitted applications to MCC.

The competent authorities have received multiple requests from various states to extend the deadline for UG counseling 2022-23. As a result, it has been decided that the timeline for All India Quota counselling and state counselling should be the same. Therefore, all state counselling authorities have been advised to complete the counselling process by January 20, 2023, which is the new last date for admission/counselling for state quota.
