Maharashtra Rains: School holiday tomorrow in Pune city and Pimpri-Chinchwad

For all civic-run, private, aided and non-aided primary, secondary, and upper secondary schools, municipal corporations declared July 14 a holiday.

PUNE: Due to a forecast of heavy rain, all schools in Pune and the nearby Pimpri Chinchwad area will be closed on Thursday, according to officials. Since a few days ago, Pune city and the surrounding area have seen severe rain; the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also forecast heavy rain for Thursday.

Vacation has been proclaimed for all civic-run, private, aided and non-aided primary, intermediate, and upper secondary schools in Pune municipal limits on Thursday, July 14, according to an announcement from the municipal corporation’s education department. On Thursday, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) also declared a vacation. According to an official, similar announcements will also be made in the remaining districts.
