Applications are now being accepted for the Himalayan Startup Trek Startup Grand Challenge 2022, which will take place from August 26 to 28, 2022, at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi incubator Catalyst. The annual signature event of IIT Mandi Catalyst is in its sixth year. A cash prize of Rs 6 lakh is available for the winners of the grand challenge for startups, inventors, and aspiring entrepreneurs. The IIT Mandi Startup Challenge application deadline is July 31, 2022. Application forms are available on the event website, iitmandicatalyst.in.

The best businesses who take part in the IIT Mandi Catalyst HST programme will also get the chance to raise up to Rs 50 lakh, according to a release from IIT Mandi. Three subject areas with a total prize pool of up to Rs 2 lakh will be featured in the sixth IIT Mandi HST startup grand challenge – startup pitch competition. The top three start-ups in the specified theme will each receive a portion of the prize money. They are as follows:

The new age alliance – human-computer interaction (HCI)
The foothill innovators’ challenge – build for the Himalayas
The habitable world challenge – environment and sustainability

The best firms will receive incubation support from IIT Mandi Catalyst, access to funding up to Rs 50 lakh for product development, and possibilities for piloting throughout the state. The goal of IIT Mandi Catalyst is to create in Kamand a high-tech, sustainable startup valley. IIT Mandi will serve as a focal point to draw the necessary parties to this hill valley.
