IIT Kanpur director reported that GATE 2023 had a 77% attendance rate with 6.8 lakh candidates registering.

Abhay Karandikar, director of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, reported that the attendance for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 was 77 percent, which is 10% higher than the previous year. He also stated that 6.8 lakh applicants registered for the exam, which was held on April 4, 5, 11, and 12.

The director of IITK reported that the exam was held without any issues in 500 testing sites in all periods except for the final session, in which some centers experienced a 1 to 1.5 hour delay due to a technical issue. Nevertheless, he declared that the issue was fix by their partner TCS and the examination continued without issue.

Karandikar announced in a tweet that #GATE2023 had finished on February 12th, after four days of testing beginning on February 4th. A total of 6.8 lakh applicants participated in the exam this year, showing an impressive level of interest.

The individuals affected by the change were given a total of three hours and transportation to nearby bus stops and train stations was provided for them from certain centers. Refreshments were also offered to the candidates.

The GATE 2023 exam took place in two parts – morning from 9:30am to 12:30pm and afternoon from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. Individuals can obtain their GATE exam response sheet from the login portal on the fifteenth of February. The GATE answer key 2023 will be available on the internet starting February 21. If a candidate has any complaints regarding the answer key, they have the opportunity to challenge it between February 22nd and 25th, 2023.
