As a part of the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ campaign, initiated by the Ministry of Education, India, the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) enabled 50 students to tour the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati from February 24th to March 4th, 2023, via Yuva Sangam.

IIM Bangalore is set to host 30 students from Assam between March 2 and 8, 2023. The purpose of this initiative is to increase the connection between youth from the Northeast and those of other states in India. During the visit, students will have the chance to meet with entrepreneurs, artists, NGOs, sportspeople, and district officials. The staff from IIM Bangalore and IIT Guwahati will also be present for the tour.

Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director of IIM Bangalore, congratulated the 50 students selected for the tour and encouraged them to take full advantage of this educational experience. He recommended that they document their time on the tour in a journal or on their phones, make friends, and be good representatives of Karnataka.

The college students from Bangalore, Hassan, Shimoga, and other parts of the state were clearly excited for their first visit to the Northeast region. As part of the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ Yuva Sangam, they will get to explore a number of facets of the host state’s lifestyle, accomplishments, and youth engagement, categorised under five topics: Tourism, Traditions, Development, Technology, and People-to-People Connect.
