CUET UG 2023: 26 additional colleges have chosen CUET; the full roster of participating universities

The 2023 edition of the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate programs is planned to take place from May 21st to May 31st. This year, the amount of universities offering admission through CUET 2023 has gone up.

At the inaugural CUET UG exam, ninety universities took part. An additional 26 have chosen to be involved in the 2023 CUET, which brings the overall number of universities up to 116. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has made it necessary for the participating universities to use CUET scores for admission, while also providing them with the freedom to choose their own admission processes.

Ten universities which were not required to participate in the CUET UG last year are now included in this year’s test, with the exception of Nagaland University. According to a notice from July 27, 2022, BSc (Hons) and BTech programmes offered by Nagaland University are exempt from the Common University Entrance Test (CUET 2022) in line with the exemption for admission to UG programmes in affiliated colleges.

This year, the nine central universities that have been included are Sikkim University, Rajiv Gandhi University, Manipur University, Assam University, Tezpur University, Tripura University, Mizoram University, North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), and Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (HNBGU).

Individuals who want to enroll in undergraduate courses in the central universities or other participating organizations must submit the CUET UG application form 2023 before March 12, 2023 at cuet.samarth.ac.in. Recently, the University of Delhi, Aligarh Muslim University, Pondicherry University, and Jamia Millia Islamia declared their UG admission 2023 process. AMU has decided to provide 8 courses based on the CUET UG 2023 results. JMI disclosed that it will not provide admission to all of its programmes through CUET, but it is thinking about raising the number of programmes offered based on CUET scores. Last year, JMI accepted students based on CUET UG results in 10 programmes.
