Before applying for the CGPSC 2022 exam, interested candidates should examine the qualifying requirements. A applicant must be a graduate of one of India’s universities established by an Act of the Central or State Legislature. The applicant must be over the age of 21. In addition, the highest age limit is set at 30 years old. Both ages are based on the first January of the year in which the advertising was published. However, as detailed in the CGPSC 2022 information Brochure, reasonable age relaxation is available for various categories of candidates.

The CGPSC Preliminary Examination 2022 will be held in an offline format at various locations throughout the state. The preliminary exam will consist of multiple-choice questions. There will be two mandatory papers, each lasting two hours. The first paper will be based on General Studies (GS) and will consist of 100 questions for 200 marks. The Aptitude Test will be the second paper of the CGPSC 2022 preliminary exam. In the paper 2 test, there will be 100 questions worth 200 marks. Every question will have five possibilities, each with a single valid answer. Negative grading will account for 1/3 of the total marks awarded to the question. To pass the test, candidates must score 33 percent on each paper (23 percent for restricted category and handicapped candidates). The nature of the second paper is understood to be qualifying. To calculate merit for shortlisting applicants for the main exam, only the first paper’s marks will be used.
