On Wednesday, Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani announced that it has signed a contract with the Telangana government to create technologically advanced laboratories for the state’s polytechnic and engineering schools. The State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), a body established by the Telangana government, and the Work Integrated Learning Programs (WILP) division of BITS Pilani have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in this respect, according to a release.

The SBTET will provide funding for the technology-enabled laboratories (TEL) project, which will be carried out over the course of two years in several phases.
