The Supreme Court is set to hear a plea on February 24 that calls for the postponement of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) which is scheduled for March 5, 2023. This is due to the lengthy gap between the exam date and the counselling process, a demand supported by NEET PG 2023 applicants.

Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, declared in February to the Lok Sabha that NEET PG 2023 would not be postponed as it would further delay the exam and related counselling due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Rohan Krishnan, Chairman of FAIMA, asked students to continue studying, expressing his disappointment with the MoHFW’s lack of consideration for postponing the NEET exam. He then added: “Friday is the date of Hearing in SC as specified by Lawyer to Students. There’s no fresh update.”
