Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test is a State-Level exam and is popularly known as TNTET. Every year this exam is organized by the Teacher Recruitment Board of Tamil Nadu. All the students, who have qualified B.Ed. and want to pursue a teacher’s job in government or private schools then they have to crack this exam with good rank and score. Candidates who want to become a Primary Teacher (for Class I-V) or Upper Primary Teacher (for Class VI-VIII) then they must have to apply for TNTET. It is a mandatory exam for all those students who have completed B.Ed. and want to become a teacher either in a Private school and Government school.
TNTET is conducted only once a year. The application form for TNTET is filled in online mode while the examination will be held in offline mode. Very soon, the official notification of TNTET will be released on the official website. i.e. trb.tn.nic.in.

The application form for TNTET will be released on the official website of the Teacher Recruitment Board of Tamil Nadu. Candidates who are meeting all the eligibility criteria can apply for TNTET at trb.tn.nic.in. The application form for TNTET will be filled in online mode. Here we have given the step-by-step procedure to fill the application form.
Step 1: First of all, go to the official portal for TNTET i.e. trb.tn.nic.in.
Step 2: Now select the paper (Paper 1/ Paper 2/ Both) for which you want to apply for.
Step 3: Next, the candidates have to enter the required details such as Personal, Academic, Communication, and other details as required.
Step 4: Now upload the scanned required documents in the same format prescribed by the Teaching Recruitment Board.

After a few days of conducting the examination, the Board will release a provisional answer key. By checking the official answer key with the candidate’s original answer, candidates may have an idea about their expected marks and hence they can predict that they will qualify for the test or not. Candidates also have a right to raise objections in case of discrepancies in the provisional or final answer key. After scrutinizing the provisional answer key, the authority of the Teacher Recruiting Board will release the final TNTET answer key. Both the answer key, provisional, and final answer key will be released on the official website of the Teacher Recruiting Board of Tamil Nadu i.e. trb.tn.nic.in.
The final result for both the papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) will be published on the official website of trb.tn.nic.in. Those candidates who have obtained 60% marks or more in Paper I or Paper II or individually in both the papers will be considered to have passed in TNTET 2024. However, 5% relaxation in marks will be provided to reserved category candidates.

No, after qualifying the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test, you will be not be allowed to any government school. After qualifying the TNTET, you will receive an e-certificate stating that you hold the eligibility to become a teacher in classes 1 to 8.
