The exam for SSC Stenographer Grade C & D is conducted by SSC (Staff Selection Commission) every year. The SSC Stenographer Grade C & D exam is conclusively known as the SSC Stenographer exam. The SSC Stenographer application fee can be payable in both modes i.e. online as well as offline.
Online Mode: Now for online payment, select any payment gateway among Debit Card/ Credit Card/Net banking/ BHIM UPI. After choosing the desired option, enter the required payment details and continue to pay.
Offline Mode: For the offline payment option, candidates will have to download an e-challan before the mentioned last date. Now submit the application fee in cash to the nearest branch of SBI Bank along with the e-challan.

The SSC Stenographer 2024 exam comprises of two stages:
First, candidates have to appear for the Stage 1 exam of the SSC Stenographer which will be an objective type comprised of three sections and 200 marks. After clearing this stage, candidates have to clear the second stage of the Skill test.

In this stage, candidates have to give a skill test on both computer and paper.
For Grade ‘C’, candidates will have to deliver a passage of 800 words in 10 minutes (80 words per minute (w.p.m)), and for Grade ‘D’, candidates will have to deliver a passage of 1000 words in 10 minutes (100 words per minute (w.p.m)).
After delivering the passage, candidates have to transcribe the shorthand passage:
For Grade C: within 40 minutes.
For Grade D: within 50 minutes.

SSC Stenographer Answer Key will be released approximately 30 days after the examination and will publish on the official website of SSC. The authorities will release the answer key of the SSC Stenographer 2024 in pdf format. Candidates can tally their answer with the answer provided in the provisional answer key to get an idea about the tentative score.
SSC will declare the result for SSC Stenographer on its official website at the fixed schedule. Firstly, the authority will declare the result for Stage 1 i.e. for the written test, and then after the conduction of Stage 2, the final result will be declared then.

The final merit list for the selection will depend only on the marks obtained in the written test because the Shorthand hand skill test is only of a qualifying nature. But candidates have to clear both stages to avail the appointment letter for Stenographer grades C and D.
