SSP Scholarship Types

Through the SSP scholarship portal, there are two major categories of scholarships available.

  • SSP Pre-Matric Scholarships are available to children in grades 1-10.

SSP Scholarship 2022 Eligibility Criteria

One of the major eligibility requirements for all scholarships available on the SSP scholarship portal is that the applicant must be a Karnataka resident. Aside from that, there are other requirements that an applicant must meet in order to be considered for an SSP scholarship. The table below will provide you with more information on the subject.

Post-matric Scholarship for ST Students
  • The student must be a Karnataka resident.
  • In the previous final examination, the student must have received at least 50% of the marks or equivalent grades.
  • The student’s family’s annual income should be less than INR 2.5 lakh.
Vidyasiri Scholarship
  • The student must be a Karnataka resident and a member of the SC/ST or Minority community.
  • During the academic year, students must have a minimum of 75% attendance.
  • A family’s annual income must be less than INR 2 lakh for SC/ST.
  • For OBC candidates, the family’s annual income must be less than INR 1 lakh.
Post-matric Scholarship for Backward Classes Students
  • Students must be Karnataka residents and belong to the Backward Classes.
  • They must be enrolled in post-secondary education.
  • They must have received at least 50 percent (for category 1) and 60 percent (for categories 2A, 3A, and 3B) on the previous exam.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than INR 2.5 lakh.
Fee Reimbursement for Backward Classes Students
  • The student has to be a Karnataka resident belonging to a backward class.
  • In the previous final examination, the student must have received at least 50% of the marks or equivalent grades.
  • The student’s family’s annual income should be less than INR 2 lakh.
Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities 
  • The student has to be a Karnataka resident.

  • Students must be enrolled in Class 11, 12, graduate, postgraduate, technical or vocational courses, M.Phil or PhD programs, and have received at least 50% or equivalent grades in their previous final examination.

  • From all sources, a student’s annual income must not exceed INR 2.5 lakh.

  • The Student should be a member of a minority group (Sikh, Christian, Muslim, Zoroastrian/Parsi, Buddhist)

     

Merit cum Means Scholarship
  • The student has to be a Karnataka resident.
  • The student should be in 9th grade.
  • Students must have received a grade of 55 percent or higher in Class 8 (with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST students).
  • The family’s total income should be less than INR 2.5 lakhs.
Fee Reimbursement for Engineering and Diploma Engineering SC/ST Students
  • The student must be a Karnataka resident.
  • The annual family income of the student should be between INR 2.5 lakh and INR 10 lakh.
  • ST/SC Defence Scholarship: The student’s parents must be serving in the Army, Navy, or Air Force, or working as a JCO, NCO, or lower-rank
Fee Reimbursement for SC/ST Medical Students
  • The student must be a Karnataka resident.
  • The annual family income of the student must be between INR 2.5 lakh and INR 10 lakh.

SSP Scholarship Application Process

Simply complete the steps outlined below to apply for a Karnataka scholarship.

  • To begin with, go to the official scholarship website.
  • When you’re on the homepage, click the “Create An Account” link.
  • On the next page, choose the type of scholarship you want.
  • After choosing the scholarship type, enter the students’ SATS IDs and choose the Get Data option.
  • Fill in the remaining required fields and click the submit button to submit the form.

  • Click the login button after entering your login ID, password, and captcha code.

SSP Scholarship 2022 eAttestation of Documents

An applicant must have their documents e-Attested by the college e-Attestation officer in order to apply for a scholarship on the SSP scholarship portal. They can conveniently get their documents attested online by following the steps listed below.

  • Step 1: Go to the SSP scholarship’s official website.
  • Step 2: Scroll down to “Click here for e-authentication portal (Students)” on the homepage.
  • Step 3: A new window will open in which you must enter your Aadhaar number, captcha, and consent, and click the “Verify” button.
  • Step 4: You’ll be taken to a page where you can fill out your student profile. Enter the information, such as the name of the college, university, course, and so on, and then upload the documents. This is where you’ll find a list of pending documents.
  • Step 5: Next, open the “Aadhaar Consent” form, fill it out, and save it.
  • Step 6: Take the form and original documents to your college’s e-Attestation officer to have them attested.
  • Step 7: Once the officer has e-attested the documents, they will appear in the Approved Documents section.

SSP Scholarship 2022 Scholarship Renewal

All you have to do to renew your scholarship is:

  • Go to the official website of the state scholarship portal.
  • You must go to the home page and click on the student login link.
  • You’ll need to create a username, password, and captcha code now.
  • Now, go ahead and click the login button.
  • To renew the link, you must now click on it.
  • You will see the renewal form in front of you.
  • All the required information must be filled out on the renewal form.
  • Please upload all relevant documents.
  • You must now click the submit button.
  • This procedure will allow you to renew your scholarship.

SSP Scholarship Important Instructions

Before applying for the SSP Scholarship 2022, keep the following points in mind:

  • Students must submit a SATS number to be considered for the scholarship.
  • If a student obtains a scholarship by falsifying documents, the paid amount will be recovered from the student, and the scholarship will be cancelled.

Can students in the General Category apply for the SSP Scholarship?

The SSP Karnataka Scholarship Scheme is open to students in the general category.

Is it possible for a candidate to change the information provided in their SSP Scholarship application?

Until the online application is ‘Finally Submitted,’ the applicant can change the information as many times as he or she wants. To amend the application, select u0022Student login,u0022 enter the Application Id, and then click u0022Submit Login.u0022

How will I know whether my application was granted or denied?

Your document will display in the Approved Documents tab if it has been successfully e-attested. If your paper is denied, it will show up in the Rejected Documents tab with said reason for rejection.

What is the scholarship amount for the SSP?

The Governments of India and Karnataka jointly pay 100% of your education costs, subject to specific conditions. Upload your college fee receipt and other required documents to the SSP Portal under each department to request for fee recovery.

Is meeting with the e-attestation official required?

Yes, for a one-time document verification, you must meet with the individual who received your e-attestation request. Make sure you bring original copies of the documents previously uploaded to the e-attestation Portal, as well as the Aadhaar Consent form, to your meeting with the officer.
