SCERT Chandigarh D.El.Ed. 2021: Students who are seeking to take admission in a 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course for the academic session 2021-23 from Union Territory, Chandigarh then they must have to fill the application for SCERT Chandigarh D.El.Ed. 2021. The Chandigarh D.El.Ed. is authorized by the State Council of Education Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Chandigarh. 

In the UT Chandigarh, the D.El.Ed. course will be conducted in the NCTE recognized Teacher Education Institutes to make the teaching profession at an elementary level. The minimum eligibility criteria for Chandigarh D.El.Ed. is passed in Graduation with at least  50% marks. The selection of candidates for admission will be based on the merit list prepared on behalf of marks secured in Graduation. There will be no examination for admission as it is based on merit. SCERT Chandigarh D.El.Ed. 2021 Admission Form

The application form will be filled in online mode. Students are advised to fill the application form very carefully as per the instructions given on the Online Application Portal. If you have filled something wrong in the application form by mistake then you don’t have to worry about it because you will able to modify the information before the last date of submission of the application form.

How to Fill Application Form?

  • First, go to the official website of SCERT Chandigarh.
  • Open Application/ Registration section.
  • Fill all the required details carefully such as – Name, Date of Birth, Marks, Category, Parent’s name, Communication Address, etc.
  • Candidates are instructed to fill the Pool and Category carefully and at the same time do upload the valid supporting documents. A candidate cannot claim the seats in their belonging category if he/ she has not marked on the specific category.
  • Do upload the scanned passport size photograph, Signature, Certificates/ Testimonials at the same time.

Documents to be Uploaded-

You have to upload the following scanned documents with the application form.

  • Matriculation Marksheet/ Certificate (as a proof of date of birth).
  • University / Board DMC for the lower examination
  • Character certificate from a Gazetted Officer from the institution last attended (in case of private candidates).
  • SC/ ST/ PwD/ Sports/ Defence/ Freedom Fighter’s Ward certificate (if required).
  • Gap year certificate  (if required).
  • Equivalent qualifying examination certificate issued by Punjab University (Wherever required).

All this document should be uploaded in pdf format only and size should not exceed 200 kb.

  • Scanned Passport size photo.
  • Scanned signature of the applicant.
  • Scanned signature of applicant’s Parent/ Guardian.

All these three documents mentioned above should be in .jepg format and size should not exceed 50 kb.

Age- According to the SCERT Chandigarh authority, there is no last age limit fo apply for admission in D.El.Ed. course.

Qualification- The candidates should have passed in their Bachelor’s degree from any stream or equivalent degree from any recognized university with an aggregate of at least 50 % marks. The relaxation of 5% will be given to the reserved category candidates. ( Marks will not be rounded off)

The counseling procedure will be done on the basis of merit list. Eligible candidates are called for counseling at the nearest center with all the necessary documents at the exact date of counseling.
