The syllabus of SBI SO consists of four parts such as- Reasoning, Professional Knowledge, English language, and Quantitative Aptitude. The subtopics of each section are given below.

Reading Comprehension, Para-jumbles, Vocabulary, Preposition, Synonyms, and Antonyms, Active-Passive, Misspelled words, spotting errors, Direct-Indirect Narration, Sentence Correction, Grammar, one-word substitution, Fill in the blanks, Usage of words, etc.

Candidate’s marks secured in the interview round will be responsible for making the Merit list for final selection. The list will be prepared in decreasing order of total marks secured in the interview round. In case, if cut-off marks are the same for two or more candidates then those candidates will be ranked in the merit list in decreasing order of their age.

Applicants who have completed their Bachelor’s/ Post Graduation/ MBA or any other equivalent degree prescribed by the SBI can apply for SBI SO (Specialist Officer). As per the regulation of SBI for SO post, the applicants must have working experience.
The selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in an online test followed by a personal interview, which is conducted by officials of SBI.
