UPSC SO/STENO 2022: The UPSC Section Officers/ Stenographers Grade B/Grade 1 exam which is popularly known as UPSC SO/ Steno is a nationwide exam. This exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The UPSC SO/Steno 2022 exam is going to conduct after a very long period of 7 years. So it is expected that the no. of aspirants will give the exam to get recruitment as a SO/Steno post under the service of the central government. The mode of exam will be offline and recruitment will be based on the written exam and evaluation of the service.

The application form for UPSC SO/ STENO 2022 will going to release from 22 September 2022 to 04 October 2022. All the aspirants will get access to fill the form in online mode only on the official website of UPSC. All the aspirants are advised to fill the form correctly because the authority will not be going to give you any chance to correct the filled details. After filling and submitting the application form before the last date, aspirants must have to take a printout of the form and have to submit it to the HoD of the Commission.

Note: A shorthand test will be held for aspirants in the English / Hindi language. This test will be held to test the writing speed of 100 words per minute for 10 minutes of the aspirants and after this test, they will get 55 and 45 minutes for Hindi and English writing tests respectively.For illegible handwriting, 5% marks will be deducted out of total writing marks.

Tips No. 1: Use mnemonics, flow chart,s and diagrams to understand and learn the important things. By using this trick, all the information will go deep in your subconscious mind i.e. in long-term memory.
Tips No. 2: You can buy some online/ offline study material such as coaching notes, practice papers, mock tests, reference books, etc from a good source if you can afford it.
Tips No. 3: Make regular and proper notes for all important topics and revise daily.
Tips No. 4: Structure a proper study chart and follow that regularly without any procrastination.
Tips No. 5: Before one month of the exam, complete the whole syllabus, and perform mock tests only to examine your knowledge.
Tip No. 6: Always make a short note of each of the topics, it will help you to revise the syllabus in less time.
All those aspirants who have successfully filled the application form will able to download the hall ticket/ admit card of the UPSC SO/STENO exam. The admit card/ hall ticket link will be active before the 3 weeks of the UPSC SO/ STENO exam. The aspirants can able to download the UPSC SO/Steno admit card from the official website of UPSC i.e. upsc.gov.in.
UPSC SO/STENO exam is a nation-wide exam and it will be organized in different 5 states of the country. Aspirants will have an option to choose their examination center according to their preference. The name of the different cities in which the exam will be organized is given as follow.
After appearing for the exam, aspirants will be able to download the UPSC SO/STENO result/scorecard for the same. It’s conducting body i.e. UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) will release the result on its official website. No hard copy of the scorecard/ result will be sent to the passed aspirants, they have to download the result in online mode on the official website of UPSC i.e. upsc.gov.in. All the aspirants who will be shortlisted, have to undergo the evaluation process of the allotted/chosen services. The final result for recruitment will be announced on the basis of the selection process. The UPSC will release the merit list based on the aspirant’s aggregate marks given for each paper.

The selection process for UPSC SO/STENO will be based on the offline written exam and evaluation procedure of the service. The recruiting authority i.e. UPSC will call those eligible aspirants for the next process of evaluation who have secured qualifying marks in the written examination. After the completion of the evaluation process, the recruitment process will be done and eligible candidates will get the recruitment offer letter from UPSC.
