IFoS Exam Pattern 2022: Check Prelims/Mains Paper Pattern, Marking Scheme

IFoS Exam Pattern 2022: Indian Forest Service is the full name of the organisation. The Union Public Service Commission is in charge of it. The UPSC IFoS 2022 exam has been officially announced for a total of roughly 110 vacant positions.

Prelims, Mains, and Interview are the three stages of UPSC IFoS 2022. The preliminary examination will be done online, while the main examination will be descriptive.

Exam for Indian Forest Service Prelims, Mains, and Interview are the three stages. A candidate must pass one level before moving on to the next. The test pattern for UPSC IFoS 2022 is as follows:

Indian Forest Service (IFoS) Stage 1: Prelims

  • A qualifying exam is the Prelims.
  • The UPSC IFoS Prelims exam is the same as the UPSC IAS Prelims exam.
  • The GS I and CSAT papers are both objectives in nature.
  • In the General Studies paper, each question is worth two points.
  • In the Civil Service Aptitude Test, each question is worth 2.5 points.
  • For each erroneous answer, a 1/3 mark is deducted.

Indian Forest Service (IFoS) Stage 2: Mains

  • The UPSC IFoS Mains test is distinct from the UPSC CSE (IAS) exam.
  • The Indian Forest Service Mains Exam consists of six papers.
  • Every paper is of the descriptive variety.
  • Each paper will take 3 hours to complete.
  • There are two extra subjects to choose from from the subjects listed.

UPSC IFoS 2022 Prelims Syllabus

The IAS (UPSC CSE) 2022 Prelims test follows the same syllabus as the UPSC IFoS 2022 Prelims exam. The IAS prelims GS I paper covers history, geography, economics, government and governance, general science, and, most crucially, current affairs.

UPSC IFoS 2022 Mains Syllabus

The syllabus for the UPSC IFoS Mains test is narrowed and focused on the knowledge required specifically for the employment of an IFoS officer.

Qualified candidates will be summoned for an interview round after the Mains exam. The interview is worth 300 points in total. A physical test will follow the interview round. Following selection, candidates are paid a remuneration that is determined by the position and location of employment.
