The UPSC official website will release the CDS 2 2023 application form on May 18, 2023. Candidates in the general category will have to pay an application fee of INR 200. Candidates in other categories are not required to pay an application fee. The deadline to apply for the CDS 2 exam online is June 2023.

How to Fill CDS Application Form?
The UPSC CDS application form can only be completed online at the official website. Part 1 of the application process is basic registration, and Part 2 comprises fee payment, form completion, and uploading of scanned documents. Before filling out the application, candidates should read the official UPSC CDS 2023 Notification. The CDS application process consists of four easy steps:
Step 1: Registration
- Visit the official UPSC CDS 2023 website at upsconline.nic.in.
- To access the registration form, go to Part 1 Registration.
- Fill in your name, birthday, parents’ names, address, category, phone number, email address, and other essential information.
- You will receive your registration number by SMS and email.
Step 2: Application Fee Payment
- Candidates must pay INR 200 as application fees for CDS 2023.
- Fees are waived for female, SC, ST, and physically challenged candidates.
- Application fees can be paid online using a debit/credit card or through SBI Netbanking, or in person at any SBI Bank branch.
- Candidates must create a bank challan during the registration procedure and submit it together with the fees to any SBI bank branch to pay the fees in cash.
- Candidates must deposit the fees at the nearest SBI branch within 24 hours of generating the challan.
- The option to pay by cash is deleted the day before the exam. Applicants who make their pay-in-slip before it is deactivated, on the other hand, can pay at an SBI branch counter during normal business hours on the application’s closing date.

Step 3: Application Form
- Candidates must complete their application by providing personal and educational information.
- Choose between IAF, IMA, INA, and OTA as your preferred position.
- Select your preferred CDS Exam Center as well.
- Fill out the form completely because no changes can be made after the application has been submitted.
Step 4: Upload Required Documents
Candidates must provide a scanned passport-size photograph, signature, and photo ID proof in the following format:
- Candidates must scan their signatures and photograph and upload them as scanned photos. The scanned photograph should be sent in JPG format first.
- You should scan your signature, which was made on white paper with a black ink pen, for better visibility. Each photograph/signature scanned picture should be no more than 300 KB in size and no less than 20 KB in size.
- For the photograph and signature, the minimum and maximum resolutions are 350 pixels (Width) * 350 pixels (Height) for the former and 1000 pixels (Width) * 1000 pixels (Height) for the latter. Please double-check that the photo and signature provided are legible.
- The photo identification document must be in PDF format. A PDF should not be more than 300 kb and should not be smaller than 20 kb.

- One photo ID card (Aadhaar Card, Voter Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driver’s License, or any other Photo ID Card issued by the State/Central Government).

CDS 2023 Test Centre Selection
When filling out the UPSC CDS application form 2023, candidates must choose their preferred UPSC CDS exam centre. Candidates are only given the choice of choosing one exam centre. On a first-come, first-served basis, exam centres are allotted.

CDS Application Form 2023 FAQs
Cash, credit card, debit card, or net banking can all be used to pay for the exam.
You have until the application deadline to fill out a new form and make changes to it. The application fees must be paid anew.
The application cost, which is INR 200 for General and OBC male candidates, is waived for female, SC, and ST candidates.
To recover the registration ID or password, go to the registered email address and type in the password or registration id. The registration number can also be found on the fee receipt.
