Paper I :

  • The first paper consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) based on General Studies and CSAT.
    There will be 100 questions for a total of 200 points.
  • Each question carries a two-mark weighting.

Paper II :

  • Paper-II is a multiple-choice (MCQ) paper based on the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT).
  • There are 80 questions with a total of 200 points.

  • Negative marking may be applied to any objections to the Answer Key that are found to be false, frivolous, or not supported by authentic evidence.

  • The nature of all papers must be descriptive.
  • Seven compulsory papers will be included in the main competitive examination. The focus of the main paper will be on objectivity.
  • Applicants will have the option of taking all of the papers in Punjabi or English, with the exception of the language papers.
  • Candidates who choose to answer Papers in Punjabi may, in addition to the Punjabi version, give the English version within brackets of only the description of technical terms, if any.
  • The question papers, with the exception of the language papers, will be written in English. However, if a candidate chooses to take any of the papers in Punjabi, the question papers will be printed in Punjabi as well.

PPSC 2022 Interview Test

Candidates who received high scores on both exams will be invited to an interview. The interview round has a total weightage of 150 points, and the results of the interview and the written exam would be combined to create the final merit list. If a candidate receives less than 45 percent on all of the papers, he or she will not be invited to the interview. Candidates from the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes categories receive a 5% reduction in overall marks, with a minimum of 25% in each paper.
