The notification for India Post GDS recruitment 2024 will soon be available. The Department of Posts and the Ministry of Communication jointly operate Indian Post, also referred to as the Post Office. Both online and offline methods will be used to administer the Indian Post GDS in 2024. Candidates must successfully pass an exam in three hours.A merit list will be used as the basis for choosing the candidates. There won’t be any more exams given as part of the selection process. The second week of July 2024 will mark the start of the online registration procedure. The final week of July is the deadline for applications for the same.

Post Office Recruitment Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates must be fluent in the language spoken in the various States or Union Territories. They should be able to read and write in that language in addition to being able to speak in it. Educational Qualification

The 10th standard test from any recognised board must be passed with passing marks in English and Mathematics for applicants to various positions in the Indian Post Office.
The native language must be understood. The native language must have been studied by aspirants, and proficiency in it up to the tenth grade is required.
Basic computer skills are also required. Candidates must hold a certificate from a basic computer training programme that lasted at least 60 days and was offered by a state or federal government agency, a board, an organisation, or a private institution.

Time Related Continuity Allowance is used to pay the salaries for certain positions (TRCA). Following the 7th Pay Commission, the three categories of GDS are paid a salary or a minimum TRCA in accordance with working hours. The list of them is below.

Post Office Salary and Benefits

After the 7th Pay Commission, the Indian Post Office salary was established. The benefits after the 7th Pay Commission are as follows: for the child education allowance, a maximum of 6000 Rs. is granted annually.
180 Rupees CMA.
Monthly stationery costs are 25 rupees.
Branch Postmasters receive 200 rupees for non-standard offices and 500 rupees for normal offices as office rent.
After a minimum of 10 years of service, there is also the option of voluntary retirement.
