This OTET Exam has two papers: OTET Paper-I is for candidates who want to teach classes I to V, and OTET Paper-II is for applicants who want to teach classes VI to VIII.

Students applying for lower primary must only take Paper I, whereas students applying for upper primary must take Paper-II. Students who are applying for both the lower and upper primary levels must appear in both papers.
