NCERT administers the NTSE, a national scholarship test. The NTSE selection procedure is divided into two stages: the first is done by state education boards, and the second is conducted by NCERT for applicants who have passed the first stage. Is there any negative marking on the NTSE?

No, there is no negative marking in the NTSE exam at any point. If applicants leave any questions unanswered or answer any of them incorrectly, no marks are deducted.

Is English being dropped from the NTSE?

Yes, English is no longer included in the NTSE exam. Science, Math, and Social Science are all included in the SAT component.

What are the recommended books for the NTSE Exam?

To do well on the exam, you must be familiar with all of the themes and concepts covered in the NCERT books (for the various courses) for classes 9 and 10.
