NET and SET Recruitment: In Indian universities and colleges, the UGC NET and SET exams will be held in 2022 to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship positions. The NET exam was previously administered by CBSE, but now the NTA (National Testing Agency) is in charge on behalf of the UGC (University Grants Commission).

The number of subjects available for the NET and SET exams differs significantly. Difference Between NET & SET Recruitment

Many candidates are confused about the differences between the NET and SET exams, but they are both used to recruit Assistant Professors, lecturers, and researchers in national and state-level institutions.

There are some significant differences between the NET and SET Exams, which candidates can understand using the table below:

Candidates must have received at least a 55 percent grade in their Master’s degree from a UGC-accredited university.
Exam PatternUGC NET: It consists of two papers (Paper I and Paper II), with a total duration of three hours.
Paper I is worth 100 marks, while Paper II is worth 200 marks.

CSIR NET: It is divided into three sections and lasts a total of three hours.
There will be a total of 200 marks awarded.
Each subject has a different marking scheme.

ASRB NET: It only has one paper with 150 multiple-choice questions and a time limit of two hours. The ASRB NET exam has negative marking.
It is also conducted in 2 papers (Paper I & Paper-II).
The exam will last 3 hours total, whether it is done in two sessions on the same day or in two separate sessions.
The exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions worth a total of 300 marks.
