A digital platform called the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) 2022 houses a variety of scholarships provided by the federal government, state governments, and other government organizations like the UGC (University Grants Commission). For the scholarship seekers registered on the platform, the National Scholarship Portal offers about 104 scholarship programs worth hundreds of crores. Officials claim that the platform has thus far assisted the administration in implementing and awarding scholarships totaling more than INR 2,700 crores. The platform claims to have received over 127 lakh applications, of which over 84 lakh are verified.
Every year, the Indian government launches a program called National Scholarship 2022 to award scholarships to kids who, for financial reasons, can’t continue their education. For the scholarship program for the year 2022, the union government launched a website called the National Scholarship Portal. This year, in July, the portal is anticipated to open.
The recipients of the scholarship program are both pre-matriculated and post-matriculated students. Students from Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, and Workers, regardless of gender, will all be covered by the National Scholarship Program 2022.
