JPSC 2022 Exam Pattern: JPSC stands for “Jharkhand Public Service Commission,” which is responsible for introducing the “Combined Civil Services Examination” and issuing “Application Forms” so that test-takers/candidates can apply at any time. This examination will aid in the selection of deserving and eligible candidates for positions such as Deputy Collector, DSP, and others in the State, Finance, Educational, and Administrative Services of the “Jharkhand Government.”

On the other hand, test takers/candidates who intend to appear in the exam must be familiar with the Jharkhand Public Service Commission’s Exam Pattern (JPSC). Furthermore, the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) sets the detailed syllabus for the Combined Civil Service Exam, and the commission is authorised by the constitution to assist the Jharkhand Government with recruitment, transfers, and other matters.

Exam Pattern of JPSC 2022

The Exam Pattern for the Combined Civil Service Exam (JPSC) consists of following three stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination
  2. Mains Examination
  3. Interview/ Personality Test
  • All of the questions will be objective in nature.
  • Each paper is of 200 marks
  • The time duration of each paper is 2 hours
  • To pass the exams, candidates must score higher than the minimum qualifying marks and the cut off marks.

Preliminary Examination Pattern

The “JPSC” preliminary examination  serves as a filtering agent, allowing test takers to progress to the next stage/level. Furthermore, the Prelims exam is Objective Type/MCQ in nature (Multiple Choice Questions). Aside from that, the “Preliminary Examination” will consist of two papers, with questions written in both English and Hindi. The event will take place in “Offline Mode.” In the Prelims Exam (JPSC), test takers/ candidates must mark their answers in the OMR sheet, with each question carrying two marks and no negative marks for incorrect answers.

Mains Examination Pattern

JPSC’s “Main Exam” consists of six papers. Apart from the “Main Exam (JPSC)” which will be held in an offline and descriptive format, the “General Hindi & General English” of “Paper – I” is qualifying in nature and candidates must score at least 30 marks to pass this paper and qualify to the next level. However, all question papers (except language papers) will be written in English and Hindi. The “Main Exam” in the JPSC Civil Service Exam is of total 1050 marks.

Personal Interview Round

Those who pass the written exam will be invited to the “Personal Interview,” as is customary. It will be held on the basis of a merit list compiled from the scores obtained in the JPSC’s “Main Exam.” Applicants/ Aspirants who achieve the minimum qualifying marks in the main examination will be shortlisted for the JPSC Interview round for recruitment in Jharkhand Civil Services 2020/ 2022. The interview round is of total 100 marks in the “JPSC Exam,” and the marks obtained in the interview, along with the marks obtained in the written examination, will be considered valid for the merit list by the “JPSC Government.”

Candidates must have a well-prepared strategy in order to ensure success on the JPSC Civil Service Exam. The following points should be included in the strategy.
