An academic qualification in math and physics from Class 12 is necessary for Navik General Duty. A Class 10 pass from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) is the minimum educational requirement for the Navik Domestic Branch.

To take the Indian Coast Guard 2024 Navik test, candidates must meet the minimal eligibility requirements.
Candidates must have received a minimum of 50% in 10+2 from a recognised board, with math and physics as obligatory subjects.
Students in the SC/ST category and those who have excelled in sports competitions receive a 5% discount.
The Indian Coast Guard 2024 Navik test is only open to candidates between the ages of 18 and 22. Candidates must have been born between August 1, 1998, and July 31, 2002, according to the official specifications.
