ICMR JRF Syllabus: Books, Subject wise Syllabus, & Others

There are three sections to the ICMR JRF Syllabus. However, each candidate is only required to attempt two subjects. The ICMR JRF General Aptitude section is required, and you must answer all 50 questions. The ICMR JRF Exam is the first step toward a Ph.D./Research Program at the Indian Council of Medical Research. The ICMR JRF Fellowship exam is held once a year in 12 different locations.

Candidates are only required to attempt 125 of the 150 questions on the question paper. In the ICMR JRF Syllabus, General Aptitude is a required subject, while Life Sciences and Social Sciences are optional. ICMR JRF Exam Pattern 2022: Details

The ICMR JRF curriculum is divided into three sections. Each candidate, however, is only required to attempt two subjects. The ICMR JRF General Aptitude section is mandatory, and all 50 questions must be answered.

Candidates must choose between the 100-question ICMR JRF Life Science and Social Sciences sections. Candidates must indicate their preference for Life Science or Social Sciences on the application form. Only 75 out of 100 questions from one of the other sections must be attempted. As a result, the ICMR JRF has a total of 125 questions. Each question is worth one mark, and the total score for the ICMR JRF 2022 exam is 125.

ICMR JRF Pattern: Details

As previously stated, the ICMR JRF syllabus is divided into three subjects. Only two of these subjects must be prepared and attempted by each candidate. Everyone must take the General Aptitude section of the exam. There are 50 questions in this section. All of the questions in this section must be answered.

Candidates must choose between social sciences and life sciences. There will be 100 questions in each of these sections. However, candidates will be limited to 75 questions from each of these sections. Candidates will not be able to answer more than 75 questions in the exam due to the system.

Total marks and number of questions:

As a result, the maximum number of questions a candidate can attempt is 125. Each question will be worth one mark, for a total of 125 points in the ICMR JRF 2022 examination.

Negative mark:

A negative marking system will be used in the ICMR JRF 2022. 0.25 points will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Important Points from the ICMR JRF 2022

  • The ICMR JRF 2022 exam will take place on July 11, 2022 at the designated exam centres.
  • The application fee for general and OBC candidates is INR 1000, while it is INR 800 for SC/ST/PH candidates.
  • The application fee must be paid via the internet.
  • As of September 9, 2022, candidates should not be older than 28 years old. (SC/ST, physically handicapped (PH) and female candidates are eligible for a 5-year upper age limit relaxation; OBC candidates are eligible for a 3-year relaxation.)
  • Candidates must have completed their M.Sc. / M.A. or equivalent degree with an overall score of 55 percent for General category candidates and 50 percent for SC / ST / PH category candidates.
  • Candidates who have appeared for the result as well as those in their final year of an M.Sc. or M.A. degree can apply.
  • The fellowship includes a monthly stipend of Rs. 31000 and an annual contingency grant of up to Rs. 20,000. After two years, the local institution must report on JRF’s performance according to the rules of the Review Committee appointed by the institution’s head.
  • Candidates who passed the Review Committee’s assessment can be awarded SRF.
