IBPS SO 2022 Recruitment: Notification, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Syllabus

IBPS SO 2022 will be organized by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection in the months of December and January 2022. The exam is conducted each year for the aspirants who intend to join as a clerk, PO and SO in nationalized banks, RRBs, and State Bank. The application forms for IBPS SO 2022 will go live in online mode on the official website only.

All the applicants are required to go through the eligibility criteria for IBPS SO 2022 before considering to fill the application form. IBPS SO 2022 will be organized in two phases i.e. IBPS SO Prelims Exam and IBPS SO Main Exam to be conducted in the months of December and January respectively. The admit cards for IBPS SO 2022 will be released on the official website.

Final selections would be made on the basis of IBPS SO 2022 Preliminary Exam scores and IBPS SO 2022 Main Exam scores followed by the Personal Interview round. Aspirants intended to join as a SO, PO, and clerk in banks must appear for IBPS SO 2022 exam.

IBPS SO 2022 Application Form

The application forms for IBPS SO 2022 are likely to be released in November 2022 by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. Applicants must make sure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria for IBPS SO 2022 before considering the applications.

Steps for filling the Application Form for IBPS SO 2022

  • The applicants must visit the official website i.e. ibps.in in order to fill the application form for IBPS SO 2022.
  • The applicants are required to get themselves registered by entering some basic details.
  • Next, the applicants must log in using the registration number and generated password.
  • The applicants must enter some personal as well as educational details.
  • Upload the digitally scanned images of photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression, and handwritten declaration.
  • Finally, make the required payment online and don’t forget to take a print out of the application form and payment receipt. The payment can be initiated through Net Banking or Debit/Credit cards.

IBPS SO 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must make sure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria for IBPS SO 2022 before filing the applications. The Eligibility Criteria for IBPS SO is mentioned below:

Nationality

The applicants interested in applying for IBPS SO 2022 exam should have citizenship of India issued by the government of India. Moreover, the following applicants are also eligible to apply:

  • a subject of Nepal or
  • a subject of Bhutan or
  • a Tibetan Refugee, who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
  • Persons migrated from India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, along with the certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Educational Qualification

Age Limit

The applicant’s minimum age under IBPS SO age limit criteria must be 20 years and the applicant’s maximum age must not exceed 30 years for all the above-mentioned post as on 26.11.2022.


IBPS SO 2022 Admit Card

  • The admit cards for IBPS SO 2022 will be made available on the official website.
  • Admit cards will not be sent via post to any candidate.
  • All the applicants who have successfully applied for the exam along with a payment of registration fee will get the admit card for IBPS SO by entering their Registration No/Roll No and Date of Birth/ Password.
  • The admit card link will be made available 10-15 days prior to the examination.
  • The applicants are informed that they must carry the Admit Card along with one valid ID card.
  • The applicants who forget to bring the admit card would not be allowed to attend the examination.

IBPS SO 2022 Selection Process

The selection for various posts in IBPS SO 2022 will be divided into three phases. First, the applicants need to appear for the preliminary exam, and applicants who clear this will be eligible for IBPS SO 2022 Main Exam. However, the preliminary exam will be of qualifying nature. At last, the applicants who clear the Main exam will be called for Interview Round. Basically, the Selection process will consist of scores in:

This section may also include questions on  Books & authors, Currencies, Important Places, Awards, Headquarters, Prime Ministers Schemes, Important Days etc. It would be advisable to go through the GK updates of at least last 3 – 4 months. Do not forget to prepare for the static GK part as well, especially the countries, their capitals, and currencies (Try to focus especially on the countries that have been in news lately, for instance, the countries visited by our Prime Minister or President or with whom any major MoU has been signed)  

IBPS SO 2022 Preparation Tips:

  • The applicant must prepare a time-table for covering the whole syllabus within time and strictly follow that.
  • The applicant should try to solve the “Reasoning Ability” Section from different entrance level books.
  • Prepare the syllabus from different books covering the syllabus, available in the market.
  • The applicant must build a habit of reading daily newspapers/journals to score better in General Awareness.
  • The student must solve as many previous year papers, sample papers as possible on a daily basis.

IBPS PO 2022 Results

The results for IBPS PO 2022 will be declared in three phases – Preliminary result, main result, and Final result. IBPS PO Preliminary Result will be released in November 2022, The result for IBPS PO Main will be declared in January 2023 and the final result will be announced in April 2023. The results will be published on the official website. The applicants qualifying the written exam will be called for the interview round. The interview round will be conducted in February 2023. The applicants clearing all the rounds will be provided with Provisional Allotment.


IBPS SO 2022 Cut Off

  • The cut-offs will be released by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection and the applicants who will clear this cut-off will qualify for the exam.
  • The applicants are required to score minimum marks in the written test in each section as well as overall.
