Haryana Police Eligibility Criteria 2022: Haryana Police Exam is a great opportunity for those who want to join the Haryana Police Department as a Police Constable or Sub Inspector. The Haryana Police exam is held by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) to select the best candidates. Eligibility for Haryana Police in 2022: Citizenship

Candidates must be Indian citizens only. Candidates from Haryana may also apply for this exam.

Eligibility for Haryana Police in 2022: Age Limit

  1. To apply for an HSSC constable position, applicants must be at least 18 years old and no older than 25 years old.
  2. For candidates who are ex-servicemen the upper age limit is 40 years, plus three years of continuous military service. The break-in period must not exceed four years between the date of discharge and the first day of the month in which the enrolment process begins.
  3. Reserved Categories are granted a 5-year age relaxation under government policies.
  4. Candidates for the Sub Inspector position must be at least 21 years old and not more than 27 years old.
  5. Candidates for the Inspector position must be at least 21 years old and under 30 years old.

To be Noted:

  • The exact date on which the age will be determined is the first day of the month in which applications for Constables will be accepted.
  • For Ex-Servicemen: According to Punjab Police Rules, the break-in service between the date of discharge and the first day of the month in which the enrolment process begins cannot exceed four years.
  • According to Rule 5A of the Haryana Police (Non-Gazetted and Other Ranks) Service Rules, 2017, the upper age limit for all departmental candidates in the Haryana Police with a minimum of three years of continuous service is 30 years for general candidates and 35 years for BC and SC candidates.

Eligibility for Haryana Police in 2022: Educational Qualification

  1. For the post of Constable
  • Applicants must have completed 10+2 or have equivalent educational qualifications from a government-approved institution.
  • It is also required to take Matric with Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the language subjects.
  1. For the post of Sub-Inspector
  • The candidate must have earned a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent degree from a State/Central Government university or institution.
  • The candidate must also have a Matric or Higher Education or equivalent degree in Hindi or Sanskrit from a recognised institution or university.
  1. For the post of Inspector
  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or an equivalent degree from a recognised university or institution.

Eligibility for Haryana Police in 2022: Physical Measurements

The written exam comes first, followed by the Physical Screening Test. The chosen candidates must pass the Physical Measurement test, which requires them to meet certain requirements. Both posts have the same psychological standard. The PMT phase is a qualification phase. Successful candidates will be given another chance to advance in the selection process, while those who do not follow the guidelines will be eliminated.
