DRDO CEPTAM 2022 Eligibility Criteria: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) recruits scientists through GATE every year, usually at the entry-level (Scientist ‘B’). A small number of scientists in higher grades (Scientist ‘C’ to Scientist ‘H’) are also recruited depending on the needs in specialised fields of research and development. Candidates must be Indian citizens and must be between the ages of 18 and 27. For protected categories, however, age criteria can be relaxed. DRDO CEPTAM 2022 Age Limit

Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 25. The following is information on eligibility criteria that candidates should be aware of before filling out the application form:

• SC/ ST/ OBC/ ESM/ PWD/WIDOWS/ Divorced Women/ Women judicially separated from their husbands who have not remarried,
• Central Govt Civilian Employees,
• Disabled Defence Services Personnel,
• Persons Domiciled In J&K State during the period from 01-01-1980 to 31-12-1989 (as per extant Govt. of India rules) are exempt from the upper age limit.

DRDO CEPTAM 2022 Eligibility Criteria

1. The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
2. Age Limit: For STAT-B and Tech-A positions, candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 28. Except for Asst Hindi posts, candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 30. Candidates for Admin & Allied roles must be between the ages of 18 and 27.
3. As of the CLOSING DATE, candidates must have completed the Essential Qualification Requirement (EQR) and be otherwise eligible for the positions.
4. During their B.Sc. programme, candidates must have read the relevant subject for at least two years.
5. Candidates with higher qualifications, such as an M.Sc. or B.Tech., or a B.E. degree, as of the closing date, will not be considered for the positions of Senior Technical Assistant ‘B’ or Technician ‘A’.
6. Candidates must be in good mental and physical health and devoid of any physical defect that would prevent them from performing their tasks effectively. If a candidate is found unfit after undergoing a medical examination as stipulated by the competent authority prior to receiving an offer of service, he or she will not be employed.
7. Candidates working for the government, public sector organisations, autonomous organisations, or the military forces, including departmental candidates, must apply through the proper channels and may send an advance copy before the deadline to be evaluated first, with notification to their offices. If they do not bring a “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” from their current employer to the interview, they will not be considered.
8. If an individual fails to meet any of the eligibility criteria during the selection process, his or her candidature will be treated as terminated without notice, and no representation in this regard will be entertained under any circumstances.

DRDO CEPTAM 2022 Reservation Benefits

a) Candidates will be eligible for reservation benefits in accordance with the instructions/orders/circulars issued by the government from time to time.

IMPORTANT: Candidates seeking age and fee relaxation/concession must support their claim by submitting applications with duly self-attested copies of relevant certificates issued by the Govt./notified Competent Authority; otherwise, their claim for any relaxation/concession will not be considered, and their application will be treated as if it were in the General Category (UR).

b) PWD: The reserved openings for PWD are listed against vacancies on the DRDO’s PWD reservation roster. PWD candidates who apply for open positions will be treated like normal candidates.

c) ESM: A person who served in the regular Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force at any rank and retired after receiving a pension or other appropriate terms and conditions from the Government of India.

d) MSP: As per Indian government regulations

Age Relaxation: On the closing date, the candidate must be under the prescribed age restriction. SC, ST, OBC, PWD, MSP, ESM, GS, individuals domiciled in Kashmir Division of J&K state between 01-01-1980 and 31-12-1989, Widows, Divorced women, and Women judicially separated from a spouse but not remarried as per the norm specified by the Government of India are exempt from the upper age restriction. DRDO CEPTAM 2022 Medical Standard

Candidates must adhere to certain medical guidelines. The following are the medical standards:

• Candidates must be in good mental and physical health and free of any physical defect that would prevent them from doing their tasks effectively.
• Before receiving an offer of appointment, candidates who have been provisionally shortlisted will undergo a medical examination as required by the appropriate authority.
• A candidate will not be offered an appointment if deemed unfit.
• Medical fitness criteria for PWD applicants are governed by current Government of India regulations.

DRDO CEPTAM 2022 No Objection Certificate (NOC)

• Candidates in the government, public sector, autonomous organisations, armed forces, and departmental positions must apply through the appropriate means.
• At the right time, candidates should obtain NOC from their current job.
• Applications received without a letter of authorization will be considered provisional.
• If shortlisted, the NOC must be submitted alongside accompanying documents at the time of document verification.

DRDO CEPTAM 2022 Important Points
