On Tuesday, the LG Office released an update on Delhi Police vacancies for 2024.
A recent statement from Raj Niwas on Tuesday states that the Delhi Police Department will fill at least 13,013 different head constable and constable vacancies by July 2024. It should be noted that 3,521 of the 13,013 positions are in the advanced stage of the Delhi Police Recruitment process and should be filled by December 2023.
The Staff Selection Commission of India will publish a notification on the recruitment of head constables for the Delhi Police Department. Openings for the position of Head Constable (Ministerial) will be filled as a result of the recruitment drive. Candidates who are interested in taking the Delhi Police Head Constable test can do so by applying through the department’s official website. The application process started in month of May 2024.

According to the statement, tests for typing, physical endurance and measurement (PE MT), and written exams have all been administered. The hiring process for these positions will begin in December 2023 and end in July 2024. In addition, he stated that 3,521 of the 13,013 positions are in the advanced stage of the Delhi Police Recruitment process and should be filled by December 2023. 1,799 of the 11,214 positions that the Staff Selection Commission is currently hiring for will soon be advertised, while 11,214 positions are currently being filled.

A week before the actual exam day, the admit card for the Delhi Police Head Constable will be made available online for download. It would include the candidate’s personal information, as well as the date and times of the exam, the location of the exam, and any other relevant instructions that they would be expected to follow.

The selection process for each of the open positions is divided into four distinct phases.
After the computer-based online test has been completed, the answer key will be made available three to four weeks later. The candidates will gain a better understanding of their performance on the test and a general idea of how well they scored as a result of this. They can retrieve the answer key by visiting the official website and downloading it.
After approximately one or two months have passed since the examination, the result will be posted on the website. The outcome of the computer-based and online test will serve as the basis for compiling the merit list for the skill test. Because the criteria for each city are unique, candidates will be narrowed down based on their positions on the merit list.
Candidates who will take the online computer-based test must get minimum qualifying marks in order to be considered for the exam. Candidates who get the minimum score must also achieve a higher score than the needed cut-off point. The board has not yet revealed the minimum qualifying marks. The Delhi Police Department will release the cut-off marks for Head Constables along with the results. We will update our webpage once the department has completed the task. The salary structure is not set in stone and is subject to change depending on the position for which the candidates are applying. The government has implemented the recommendations of the new 7th pay commission into the salary structure.

Candidates should first focus on gaining an understanding of the exam pattern and working on both areas in which they struggle and those in which they excel in order to increase their overall score on the exam. They will be well-prepared for the accurate assessment of their performance if they participate in mock exams on a weekly basis.
The candidates are required to succeed in each of the three stages of the selection process in order to move on to the next stage. These stages include online computer-based tests, physical endurance tests, physical measurement tests, and medical examinations. Ultimately, the candidate must pass all of these stages in order to be hired.
Candidates will receive one mark for each correct answer, and 1/4 point will be deducted from the total score for each erroneous response.
