Delhi Police Constable Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the exam, candidates must ensure that they meet all of the requirements. This exam is chosen not only on the basis of educational and expertise, but also on physical characteristics. As a result, aspirants must work on both their minds and bodies.
Age Limit
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old and not more than 25 years old, according to the official Delhi Police Constable Eligibility Criteria 2022.

Educational Qualifications
Applicants must have completed a recognised government board or institution’s higher secondary (class 12th) or equivalent. Certain candidates who meet the following Delhi Police Constable educational qualification standards, however, are granted relaxations:
- Buglers, mounted constables, bandsmen, dispatch riders, and other Delhi Police officers who have completed Class 11th are eligible to apply.
- Sons and daughters of deceased, serving, or retired Delhi Police officers, as well as Multi-tasking professionals, who have passed class 11 are eligible to apply for the Delhi Police Constable recruitment 2022.
Physical Standard Test Eligibility
Candidates who pass Paper 1 or the written test will be invited to take the Delhi Police Constable Physical Measurement and Endurance Test to determine their eligibility.

Medical Test Eligibility
Candidates who pass the Delhi Police Constable Physical Test will be invited to the last step, the Medical Exam. Candidates must attend to any Central/State government hospital and be examined by a Medical Officer. They must be intellectually fit and free of flaws, diseases, and deformities, with eyesight of 6/12 without glasses and no colour blindness or other visual issues.
- For the posts of Male Constables with the Delhi Police, all candidates must have a valid driver’s licence (car or motorcycle).
- During the Physical Measurement Test, candidates who are applying for a reservation must have a certificate verifying the claimed criteria.
Delhi Police Constable Eligibility FAQs
The minimum age requirement for all applicants is 18 years old. However, state regulations dictate that the highest age limit varies per category. Candidates in the general category have a maximum age limit of 25 years.
The application fee for candidates from other categories is INR 100, but there is no price for SC/ ST/ ESM candidates or female candidates.
All applicants for the exam must have completed higher secondary school or an equivalent from a government-approved board or institution.
