CTET Preparation Tips 2022: The CTET is the most sought-after exam and the only method to work as a teacher in junior and primary schools. The minimal qualifying criterion for instructors working in any government, public, or private school is to pass the exam. The CTET test will be held from December 16, 2021, to January 13, 2022, in 2021. Candidates must establish a solid strategic plan based on their abilities in order to pass the exam. A strong preparation strategy gives applicants a clear path to follow. As a result, it is critical to follow some exam-related tips and tactics. Solving a large number of practice papers is one of these methods; others are described below.

On a single day, in separate sessions, the exam is administered at two levels at around 2935 CTET Exam Centers. The exam will last two and a half hours, with a multilingual question paper (Hindi and English). CTET qualifiers will be hired in a variety of schools, including those run by the federal government, UT-controlled schools, private schools, and schools owned and managed by state governments and local governments. The CTET Eligibility Certificate, which will be granted to applicants scoring more than 60%, will be valid for life once the result is announced. Candidates can verify the CTET CutOff and make future plans based on it.

CTET Preparation for Mathematics Paper I and II

Because math questions appear in both paper I and paper II, a strategy must be devised based on the important criteria established for teachers. The following should be utilised to prepare for the basic questions that will be asked from the curriculum.

  • Revise NCERT Books: Students taking paper I/paper II should review the NCERT mathematics books recommended by the CBSE from classes I to V/VI-VIII, depending on the paper code.
  • Mock Tests: Previous year papers are essential for acing the CTET exam. Mock practice examinations are available on a variety of websites. To succeed on the exam, enrol in an online CTET programme or join a coaching centre.
  • Sample Papers: Prior to the exam, CBSE will provide sample papers that must be practised in order to understand the exam type, pattern, and format of the questions.
  • Questions on Pedagogy: The mathematics paper will include pedagogy questions, which students must be familiar with and understand. It is necessary to comprehend practical approaches, their implementation, and the ability to teach these methods. Formative and non-formative assessment skills should be mastered here.
  • Every question must be answered: Because there are no negative marking options, all questions must be attempted.

Let us see how to clear the CTET in the First Attempt

The method you prepare for CTET is crucial to your success. In the CTET exam preparation, a planned strategy combined with assistance can work wonders. A well-planned 4 – 6 hours of daily studies for 1-2 months is adequate for a motivated individual to pass the exam. The 3P method can be used to prepare for any exam, not only the CTET. Let us expand on the three Ps.

1. Plan

The most important aspect of any preparation is planning; as the phrase goes, “Great woodcutters spend 80% of their time sharpening the axe,” which alludes to ‘planning.’ Make a schedule for when you will study, what subjects you will focus on, how much time you will dedicate to each subject, and what themes you will choose. Analyzing your skills and weaknesses is essential for determining how to approach a given exam.

2. Prepare

Effective preparation is only half of the story; the real work begins when you have to put your plans into action. Having a fixed timetable and rewarding yourself when you stick to the planned schedule is the key to getting achievements. You might set aside weekdays for specific preparation and the weekend for reviews and mock tests.

3. Practice

Certain disciplines and themes necessitate extensive practice in order to thrive. Every subject has them, and they must be learned topic by topic.

Best CTET Preparation Tips 2022

1. Know CTET Pattern 2022

  • The CTET will consist of 150 questions worth a total of 150 points, with 150 minutes given for the exam.
  • It will take place entirely online.
  • The question paper will have objective type questions and will be divided into five sections, each with 30 questions.
  • In the CTET exam, there will be no negative marking.

Note: This course is designed for math and science teachers (Science Background students). Teachers of Social Science should attend (Arts Background students).

2. Follow CTET Syllabus

  • Paper 1 and paper 2 of the CTET have separate syllabuses. Attempt to cover the entire CTET syllabus during your preparation.
  • Child Development & Pedagogy, Language-1, Language-2, Environmental Studies, and Mathematics are included in CTET paper 1.
  • Child Development & Pedagogy, Language-1, Language-2, Social Studies, or Mathematics & Science are among the topics included in CTET paper 2.
  • There will be a bilingual (Hindi/English) question paper.
  • The CTET notice lists 20 language possibilities; however, candidates can only select two languages from the list.
  • Because the syllabus covers a wide range of courses, you’ll need to create a detailed study plan to ensure that you cover every topic thoroughly.

3. Focus on Your Weak Area of Study

  • Determine where you are weak and where you have room for improvement.
  • Try to read and understand all of the fundamental principles before beginning to practise your weak areas.
  • You don’t need to focus on the fundamental concepts in the strong areas; instead, practise more and more problems from those topics.
  • To understand your weak points, practise CTET’s previous year’s question paper.

4. Read Important Books for CTET

  • Prepare at least one important textbook for each subject included on the CTET Exam syllabus.
  • From Class 3 to Class 8, you can practise with NCERT Books.
  • For CTET 2022 preparation, you can use any of the books from Arihant, Disha, or Upkar Publications.

5. Learn the Basic Concept and Practice Quizzes

  • Focus on the fundamental concepts of each topic at first, especially in child development and pedagogy.
  • Try to complete the quizzes for each subject on a regular basis to enhance accuracy and exam performance.

6. Make a Habit to Prepare Short Notes

  • As soon as you begin your preparation, make short notes on the themes.
  • These brief notes will assist you in revising the complete course right before the exam.
  • In your short notes, highlight the key elements that will be useful during the revision session.

7. Revise all Concepts and Theories Before the Exam:

  • After you’ve finished the entire syllabus, attempt to review all of the major topics once a week.
  • During the revision, try to remember the concept, significant theories, and formulas.
  • Don’t merely memorise the answer; try to understand the question’s basic concept.

8. Make a Habit to Practice Mock Test Regularly:

  • It is critical to take CTET practice exams on a regular basis if you want to do well in the real exam.
  • You can look at your score by section to see how well you prepared.
  • You can effectively and efficiently manage time depending on the mock test.

9. CTET Exam Qualifying Marks

  • Because the CTET exam has no negative marking, try to answer all 150 questions.
  • To qualify for the CTET exam in the general category, you must score 90 out of 150.
  • There is no sectional cut off, thus no subject is off-limits.
