CTET Exam Pattern 2022: The Central Teaching Eligibility Test (CTET) has two tiers of papers. The step-wise process to answer questions in the online mode of CTET 2022
- To begin, enter your application number and password, which can be found on your CTET admit card.
- Candidates will find detailed instructions for answering the questions on the next page. Carefully read the directions.
- The status was presented with the question palette on the right side of the screen. There will be five alternatives for the status of the question.
- A question ‘Marked for Review‘ status simply indicates that the candidate would like to revisit the question.
- Candidates can browse between the various pages on the screen using the left, right, up, and down arrow buttons.

- When you click on the question number, the question palette appears on the screen.
- After you’ve answered the question, click ‘Save and Next.’ If there is any doubt about a question, candidates can take the option of ‘Marked for Review.’
- Candidates can browse through the questions using the left, right, up, and down arrow buttons.
Answering the question
- To choose an answer, click one of the options buttons.
- To deselect a selected answer, click on the option’s button or the ‘Clear Response‘ button once more.
- To modify the answer, click the button for a different option.
- Candidates must save their answers by clicking the ‘Save & Next‘ option.
- Click the ‘Mark for Review & Next‘ button to submit the question for review.
Navigation through sections of the CTET question paper
- Candidates can move through the different sections of the CTET question paper using the navigation bar at the top of the website.
- By clicking on the section name, you may see all of the questions in that section. The current portion that the candidate is seeing will be highlighted.
- After answering the last question in one part, click ‘Save and Next,’ and the next section will appear immediately.
- During the examination, candidates will have the option to shuffle between sections and questions within sections at any point during the time allotted.
Note: Only the English version will be considered the final version for assessment purposes if the translation is correct for a certain language.
Extra Time for PwD candidates
For differently-abled applicants who use a scribe/amanuensis, a compensatory time of 50 minutes will be allocated for each paper of the CTET Examination. Candidates with disabilities who do not have access to a scribe may be given a compensation time of 50 minutes.
General Instructions
- The computer will be equipped with a keyword and a mouse. Candidates can also utilise the alpha-numeric on-screen keyboard if there is a difference.
- If the computer or mouse malfunctions, the applicant will be switched to another machine right away.
- The time restriction for the exam will be displayed on the on-screen clock. Candidates can also see how much time they have left to complete the CTET exam.
- Candidates will have access to the rough sheet for each system in the exam hall. In the specified space, candidates must write their name, roll number, and date of birth.

Use of Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) Sheet
When handling the (Optical Mark Recognition) OMR Sheet, there are specific guidelines that must be followed. During the CTET 2022 exam, candidates must follow the directions and the guidelines surrounding the OMR Sheet. A few information and guidelines about it are included below:
- The OMR Sheet will be found within a sealed test booklet. The seal can only be broken after the invigilator has announced it.
- The OMR sheet will have the same code as the test booklet, such as A, B, C, or D.
- An optical scanner will scan the OMR Sheet. Candidates should avoid folding the OMR Sheet.
- Only write your Roll Number in the designated space on the OMR sheet.
The columns on side 1 of the OMR sheet must be filled in clearly and properly with a ballpoint pen (blue/black). It is strictly forbidden to use a pencil.
