CGPSC (Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission) Syllabus 2022: The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) test is held annually by the State Public Service Commission of Chhattisgarh to select Grade A and Grade B officials in the state’s several administrative branches. The CGPSC exam, conducted at the state level by the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission, is similar to the UPSC civil services exam, which is held at the national level. For the purpose of selecting candidates, the exam is divided into three stages: preliminary, Mains, and personality test (Personal Interview).

CGPSC Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2022

The written test for the CGPSC is divided into two parts: preliminary and Mains. The Preliminary test has objective questions, but the Mains exam has subjective questions. The paper is organised into parts and themes according to the subjects.

CGPSC Prelims Exam 2022

The CGPSC Prelims exam is of the objective kind, with multiple-choice questions with only one correct answer. The Prelims exam is worth 400 points in total. The Prelims exam consists of two obligatory papers, each of which has a time limit of two hours. The two papers primarily assess the candidate’s general knowledge and aptitude.

  • The unreserved category’s minimum qualifying marks are 33 per cent, while the reserved category’s and physically challenged applicants’ minimum qualifying scores are 23 per cent.
  • Merely the scores achieved in Paper I are used to compiling the merit list; Paper II serves only as a qualification.

Prelims Paper II

This paper evaluates the logical and analytical ability of a candidate and comprises topics like Logical Reasoning, Math, Attitude in comprehension, etc.

It includes themes that assess candidates’ aptitude abilities. The ability to make decisions and solve problems, as well as general mental aptitude, logical reasoning, and analytical ability, will be tested further. Communication, logical reasoning, and analytical abilities are examples of interpersonal skills. Basic numeracy (numbers and their relationships, orders of magnitude, and so on) (Class 10) and Chhattisgarhi language knowledge Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency, etc. – Class 10 level), Hindi and Chhattisgarhi language knowledge will be examined solely in Hindi and Chhattisgarhi language, with no translation, and Hindi language knowledge will be tested only in Hindi and Chhattisgarhi language (Class 10 level).

CGPSC Main Exam 2022

The CGPSC main exam consists of seven examinations covering various topics. All of the papers include subjective questions. The Mains exam is crucial in determining whether or not a candidate will advance to the next round of interviews. This stage assesses a candidate’s comprehensive, analytical abilities as well as his knowledge and intellectual skills to convey the same in responses, as it consists of papers from several areas.

Personal Interview

Candidates who pass both the preliminary and main exams are called in for a personal interview.
