Assam Police SI Exam Pattern 2022

Candidates who applied for the Assam Police Sub-Inspector Post must pass all stages of the selection process in order to be appointed to the position. Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test

On a merit basis, candidates who are 5 times the number of vacancies in each category, both Male and Transgender and Female, will be shortlisted to take the PST (Physical Standard Test) and PET (Physical Efficiency Test). The following are the details for both positions:

Physical Standard Test (Common for Both Post)

The candidates who have been shortlisted will be invited to take the Physical Standard Test. The PST will not be graded. Candidates’ height, weight, and chest (only for Male & Transgender) will be measured, and they will then be inspected by a medical officer for preliminary examinations. Candidates who pass the Physical Efficiency Test will be shortlisted to take the Physical Efficiency Test.

Police SI Physical Efficiency Test (For Unarmed Branch)

A total of 40 points will be awarded for the Physical Efficiency Test. The following are the specifics:

  Long Jump (244 cm minimum) Long jump requires a minimum height of 244 cm ( 3 chances will be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for assigning the marks)
No marks will be given if the length is less than 244 cm.

  • The minimum requirement is ten times.
    No extra points will be given for chin-ups done more than 14 times.
 

100 Meters Race

  • The race must be completed in 15 seconds or less.
    If you take more than 15 seconds, you will be disqualified.
 

Long Jump (365 cm minimum)

  • Long jump requires a minimum height of 365 cm ( 3 chances will be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for assigning the marks)
  • There will be no marks awarded if the length is less than 365 cm.

  • Long jump: 265cm minimum ( 3 chances will be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for assigning the marks)

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in the Oral/Viva-Voce round after passing all of the above stages. This round is worth a maximum of 5 points. This round must be completed in order for candidates to be considered for the position.

Assam Police SI Psychometric Test (For Commando Battalions)

Candidates who pass the Assam Police SI (AB) PST/PET round will be shortlisted for the Psychometric Test. This round is worth a total of 20 points. Candidates will be judged on their mental framework for doing hard work, jungle adaptability, and aptitude/attitude measurements.
