The exam pattern for the Andhra Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment has changed. As a result of the new pattern, so,the exam will be conducted in two stages, namely Prelims and Mains, with the merit list based on the results of both exams.

Candidates will be required to take a preliminary examination first. Further information on the examination format is provided. The physical dimensions of the qualified candidates will be measured. Candidates who pass the measurement standards will be put through a physical efficiency test. The candidates will then have to take the final written exam. The candidates will be chosen based on their merit position in the final merit list.
The preliminary written exam will be worth 200 marks. Candidates must pass the written test in order to advance to the next phase, the physical standard test.
