AFCAT 2022 Eligibility: Marital Status
- Candidates must be unmarried at the start of the course if they are under the age of 25.
- Candidates under the age of 25 who are widows/widowers or divorcees are likewise ineligible.
AFCAT 2022 Selection Process
There are three stages to the AFCAT selection process. The written examination is the first step in the process. This exam will be divided into two sections: Stage 1 testing and Stage 2 testing. Candidates who meet the qualifications will be invited to take the SSB exam (second stage).
The SSB exam will also include other examinations, such as the Picture Perception and Psychological Test, the Discussion Test, and so on. Finally, the applicants will be medically evaluated. To get hired, candidates must complete all three steps and pass them with flying colours.
AFCAT: Commissions Offered
SSC (Short Service Commission) in the Indian Air Force refers to a career that lasts a maximum of 10+4 years and a minimum of 10 years. Women can only join the IAF as SSC officers, but men can enlist as both SSC and PC officers. The following are the several sorts of commissions offered by AFCAT:
- PC for Men — Candidates who enlist as PC officers serve until they reach the age of superannuation, which varies depending on their branch and level.
- SSC for Men and Women – Flying Branch SSC officers have a fourteen-year appointment duration from the date of commissioning. Both men and women are paid a stipend of INR 56,100 per month during the training term. An IAF officer will be paid between INR 56,100 to 1,10,700 after completing the programme. The rank of Flying Officer is awarded to cadets who graduate from the Air Force Academy.
