AFCAT Training Salary Structure 2022

Those who pass all rounds of the AFCAT selection process will get specialised training at the Air Force Academy for a set period of time. Candidates get a defined amount of money in the form of a stipend for the duration of their training. After successfully completing the programme, AFCAT candidates will be paid at Level 10 in the pay matrix. The following is the stipend offered to candidates for AFCAT Training in the Air Force:

• The flying and technological branches will have a training period of 74 weeks, while the non-tech branches will have a training period of 52 weeks.

AFCAT Perks and Additional Benefits

AFCAT Job Profiles

All three positions have distinct tasks and responsibilities. Candidates wishing to apply for a specific position in the IAF should be familiar with the job profile. The job descriptions for each of the three branches are detailed below.

Flying Branch

• Supplies and air support.
• Operate and maintain combat fighter planes.

AFCAT Posts Growth and Ranks

On the basis of the timeline, AFCAT promotions are applicable to the top three ranks. Promotions to other jobs will be made based on the job and how positions become vacant.

• If a person has served in the Flying Officers for three years, they will be promoted to Flight Lieutenant. They must pass a departmental test to be considered for promotion.
  
• After six years of service, an employee will be promoted to Squadron Leader.
  
• For the purposes of promotion and compensation, technical officers who are engineers will be awarded a two-year seniority period, which will be comparable to that of Indian Air Force officers.
  
• All officers must take the ‘C’ examination, which consists of General Knowledge and post-related themes, in order to be considered for Departmental promotion and rank advancement.
