1. Men’s Permanent commission (PC):
Candidates who join the PC as officers will serve in their branch and rank until they reach retirement age.
2. Men and Women’s SSC (Short Service Commission):
SSC officers in the Flying Branch have a fourteen-year commitment period from the date of commissioning (Non-extendable).
SSC officers would have a ten-year initial tenure in the Ground Duty (Tech and Non-Tech) branches. An extension of four years may be granted based on service requirements, vacancies, willingness, suitability, and merit.
