The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is a national level test used to select qualified applicants for Grade A Officer positions in the Indian Air Force. AFCAT accepts applications from both men and women. AFCAT Eligibility Criteria 2022 can be found here.
The AFCAT Exam is held twice a year to recruit candidates into the Indian Air Force’s Technical and Non-Technical branches. In August of 2022, the AFCAT 2 exam will be held (tentative).

The AFCAT 2 2022 Exam consisted of a total of 100 questions. Each question is worth three points, bringing the overall weightage of the AFCAT Exam to 300 points. Questions from English, Numerical Ability, General Knowledge & Reasoning, and Military Aptitude were included in the AFCAT Exam. Negative marking is also available for each incorrect answer on the paper.

This section had a high difficulty level, with problems ranging from percentages to profit and loss, discount, algebra, mixture and alligation, averages time and work, time speed and distance, and so on.

If a candidate wishes to work in the technical sector of groundwork, they must take the EKT exam. Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) is a test that is given in conjunction with the AFCAT 2 exam.
It has several branches, including Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, and Electronic Engineering. This exam consists of 60 questions for a total of 180 points, with a negative marking system. The EKT exam takes 45 minutes to complete.

AFCAT is held in two shifts across the country at more than 100 AFCAT Exam centers, with the following timings:

AFCAT is one of India’s most competitive tests. Candidates who want to join the Indian Air Force should put in a lot of effort and attention in order to pass the exam.
The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is administered twice yearly, in February and August/September.
Negative grading is given on the Air Force Common Admission Test.
The exam difficulty level of the AFCAT exam is moderate to difficult, according to the exam analysis. However, with good planning, devotion, and hard effort, this exam can be easily passed.
For the appointment of gazetted officers, the Air Force Common Admission Assessment was done. A newly commissioned Air Officer receives a salary of around INR 85,000 in addition to additional benefits after successfully completing training.
AFCAT is not a difficult exam to pass. The test structure and material must be thoroughly studied, and a strategic plan for preparation should be devised. The greatest method to identify one’s strengths and limitations and work on them is to revise and practise sample papers.
