    Two broad measures to develop a sustainable path of energy development are: 

    i Promotion of energy conservation.

     ii Increased use of renewable energy sources.

    As concerned citizens we can do one bit by:

    Using public transport system instead by individual vehicles.

    ii Car pool can be practised in metropolitan cities.

    iii Switching off electricity when not in use.

    iv Using power saving devices.

    v Use of Non-conventional sources of energy.
